Meet our Board
Pina Marino, President
Pina Marino has a background in psychometry and counselling (private practice) and is presently the program coordinator for a victim services agency. She is a CISM trained crisis responder and a member in good standing of the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers of Ontario.She resides in Bolton with her family.
Carlos Frewin, Vice President
Carlos has worked in human resources development and project management for the past 40 years. His experience includes the private sector and education at the college and university level. Now retired, Carlos is enjoying the opportunity to be more active in the community and contribute to the urgent need for elder care. He is also a member of the Headwaters Hospital Quality Committee.
Brenda Laird, Treasurer
In her professional life, Brenda has spent 30 years in the accounting industry. After serving as an accountant for Wedgbury Smith Bonebaker LLB and as a controller with Silcotech North America Inc., Brenda now runs her own business in the accounting field. Brenda has been very active in her community volunteering with Scouts Canada for the past 30 years. Other organizations that have benefited from Brenda’s community commitment include: Habitat for Humanity, New Tecumseh, St. James Church Choir, Colgan, Clans of Tecumseh Pipe Band, Treasurer, and the Caledon Chamber of Commerce Board. Brenda joined the Caledon Meals on Wheels Board in 2007 and in 2011 assumed the role of Board Chair. Brenda’s interests include: travelling, reading and scouting.
Sandra Sharpe, Secretary
Sandra Sharpe is an avid storyteller and has had many opportunities to share stories as a Leader and Member of Toastmasters International since 2007. Through Toastmasters she has held several leadership roles including Area Director, Club Mentor, and Club Sponsor.Sandra has led and presented several conference workshops on leadership and given talks on the value of mentorship.Sandra is an alumnus of the University of Toronto for Continuing Studies and has her Certificate in Communications for Professionals. Sandra was also educated at the University of Waterloo for Basic/Advanced Mediation and Conflict Management and then as a Trained Facilitator from the Canadian Management Centre in Ottawa. She has 24 years of experience in the Ontario Municipal Public Service, 9 years in municipal taxation, and the past 15 years supporting and advising heads of Council.Presently, she is currently serving the residents of Caledon in her role as Executive Assistant to Mayor Allan Thompson, and is looking forward to her role as a newly elected Board Member to CMOW.

Robert Allen, Board Member
Robert originally moved to Bolton in 1967 from Toronto and purchased Albion Hills Workshop, a wraught iron maker. Two years later he opened The Thought Shoppe, a gift store in downtown Bolton which his wife and mother ran until they sold it in 1976.His corporate career has taken him far and wide including living in Toronto, Chicago, New York, New Jersey, Indianapolis and Cincinnati and has given him opportunities to travel on business to many countries in: Europe, Far East, Middle East, Caribbean and Mexico.He has worked for many corporations in various positions including Lever Brothers,Hoffmann LaRoche Canada, PFW division of Hercules among others and is currently the Partner and President of Palm Flavour & Food Ingredients Ltd., and AG Flavour Solutions Ltd.Robert recently celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary and has a son and daughter, and 3 beautiful grandchildren.Robert’s commitment to his profession and community is evident in his involvement in many professional associations as well as having had been a volunteer with Bolton Ambulance, coaching hockey and volleyball, Palgrave Rotary and the United Way of Toronto.Currently Robert is a volunteer with the CMOW board of directors as well as one of our best volunteer drivers!In his spare time he enjoys golf, gardening, walking, reading and the theatre.
Filomena Belligero, Board Member
In her professional life, Filomena has spent over 20years in the charity industry, including eight years as Executive Director for Albion Neighbourhood Services. Her community work has granted her the privilege to lead in many innovative collaborative coalitions and community capacity building initiatives in Rexdale. She holds a B.A. Hons. degree in Psychology and Sociology. She is a mother of two inspiring teenagers who always remind her to be fearlessly authentic.

Filomena continues to find enjoyment in big and small project management, freelance grant writing, and innovative special collaborative initiatives, including most recently her meaningful work with the Syrian Refugee Community. Filomena hopes to champion CMOW’s mission, and build on her knowledge in Board Governance by steering with passionate stewardship in achieving CMOW’s new strategic directions.
Ken Graydon, Board Member
Ken was the president (now retired) of two national not-for-profit trade associations in the Canadian auto industry.
He was also a senior executive with two national agricultural trade associations and has extensive experience in government relations.He not only organized national and international conventions but was also a former CBC broadcaster, editor, and governor with George Brown College.He has been a board member of the Toronto Amadeus Choir, Caledon Hospice, chair of Bolton Presbyterian Church and Canadian Society of Association Executives.He is the founding director of Automotive Business School of Canada (Georgian College) and has been a Caledon resident for 48 years. He is also a pianist, organist, and choir director who is involved in local and other concerts.
