Scotiabank Donates $2,700 to CMOW
The Scotiabank branch in Orangeville has presented Caledon Meals on Wheels (CMOW) with a $2,560 donation to match the agency’s fundraising calendar sales that took place at CMOW’s AGM last September and an additional $140 for selling calendars at the Orangeville branches.
The 2014 Bird Calendar now in it’s second year, raised nearly $9,500 for the agency. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to support CMOW’s meals services and social wellness programs, friendly visiting and special events for seniors. The calendar, which was sold throughout the Town of Caledon and Orangeville by CMOW volunteers has numerous local supporters to thank for it’s success. Local merchants Forster’s Book Garden, The Naked Vine and Mountain Wildlife Supply sold calendars for CMOW and the Guardian Pharmacy in Caledon East and Scotiabank branches in Orangeville matched calendar sales. Production sponsors; the Bolton and District Lions Club, sponsored the full printing costs associated with the calendar; Gary Hall donated the beautiful bird photography; Phyllis Graydon provided her extraordinary bird facts; and Steve Conforti from We Are Creative, donated his time and talent designing the calendar.
