March for Meals 2016 is a hit

Bolton, ON –April 4, 2016

The 2016 edition of March for Meals in Caledon and Orangeville reaches new heights!

“More guest volunteers, more local dignitaries and definitely more smiles. That best sums it up” according to Caledon Meals on Wheels Executive Director Christine Sevigny.

We had a great mix of returning guests but also a few new faces joined us this week as we celebrated March for Meals. The March for Meals campaign, which is a month-long event designed to generate public awareness about senior and adult hunger and to celebrate the invaluable services provided by Meals on Wheels across Caledon and Orangeville.

Caledon Meals on Wheels (CMOW) kicked off the week with deliveries across Orangeville.

Joining our regular volunteer drivers were four members of Orangeville Council and Mark Giles from Hallmark Toyota. The local car dealership donated $500 to CMOW for the opportunity to deliver meals with one of their courtesy vehicle.

According to Chris Lee, General Manager of Hallmark Toyota: “Hallmark Toyota is proud to be a part of the March for Meals campaign, and would like to thank Caledon Meals on Wheels for the fabulous job they are doing with the program. Participating was a natural fit for Hallmark Toyota – we are a Community Driven local dealership, and it’s a great way for us to be involved in our community and support the many people that have supported us over the years.
